It is all about what I enjoy doing…
This is a wonderful shot for so many reasons – mainly, I love the bounce of it!
Looks like Kutch. Is it?
Beautiful mood captured.
Thanks Hitesh. It is not Kutchh, but a tiny village near Ahmedabad.
Okay… I thought its Kutch from the attire of those men.
You will find men wearing such attire in Ahmedabad too . “Bharwad” community.
Now I got it 🙂
🙂 soon “Bharwad” will also stop wearing this traditional dress. “Bharwad” women’s dress is also so beautiful and they are very graceful too. But now you see them less and less :(.
Yes thats very true… Even I have observed that in Kutch, people are abandoning the traditional dresses as the influence of cities are increasing with younger generation more inclined towards western life style. Soon these costumes will be seen only during the festivals and family functions.
Sad. I too have observed that in Kutchh. There are many traditions which are slowly dyeing ,not only dresses, but arts and crafts, traditional food and language. I have done few photo essays on that, which I have posted on my other blog sonalidalal.blogspot.in
I will check that blog. Thanks a lot 🙂
Excellent picture, and one where the correct exposure is difficult to attain – and I think you’ve got it just about right – their faces are just a touch dark, but the textures of their clothing are shown wonderfully, especially those of the man on the right. Good stuff, Sonali! Adrian
