About Me

Hello!

Photographs on this website are my attempts to capture beauty of nature, innocence of child, vibrancy of ย street life, majesty of monuments, abstractness of the world around me on my camera.I am an amateur photographer, who discovered beauty of this art some 4 years back.

I try to capture what I see, what I feel, what I experience, what I admire, what I enjoy. When I see the final image on computer or in print, it is the most satisfying moment for me.

Why I do Photography? Simply because I enjoy it.

Apart from photography I indulge in writing. Though it entirely depends on my mood of the moment. I love travelling and always look for any excuse to travel. It gives me opportunity to click, read and write, hobbies which I really live for.

Back to ground reality, I am professional working in export industry.

  2. Sonali,
Coincidentally, a couple of days ago i was talking to a man, who is almost nuts about photography. He is about 55 years of age and obviously has seen and used a wide range of cameras and techniques. He works for the government, photography is his hobby and he pursues it very passionately, as much as his limited means allow him. Actually i met him at a hospital where he was attending to his mother, where she was admitted for treatment. Even in the Hospital, when he saw a very cute kid, he pulled out a small camera from his pocket and clicked away the child. And the results he showed me the next day, the result was brilliant.
I asked him, what is the best camera in the market. His answer, i think was most brilliant, which i could never forget cos it applies to all facets of life. He said, of course there are great cameras available technology wise and if you can spare the money, but the best camera is your eye, if you have the eye, you can click the best photo with even a “dabba Camear”.

And I must say you have the eye for capturing beauty in pictures.

  3. Sonali, very glad you’ve discovered the beauty in photography – I’m completely hooked too. My aim is simply to create beautiful images >>> however we are quite different in that I’ll use any software means available to produce what I can see in my head – but we’re all different and it would be a terrible thing if we weren’t – if we all had exactly the same tastes etc.

Thank you for subscribing to me blog – I hope my comments about software haven’t put you off! FATman

    • Hi Adrian! I am not at all put off by your views. There is nothing wrong in working with softwares, after all they are creation of one among us only. I have realised that you need intelligence to use these softwares too! In fact,I do use them, as much as I understand them. But I stop somewhere. I do create digital art (if I can use that word!) with help of these software, which is independent of my photography. You can also see them on this blog. Thanks for stopping by! Mixture of people like us make this world interesting for me.

    • I would love too. But I am not very regular as my work commitments and my travels keep me busy. So it would be unfair to others who are participating and who tag me. Once I become regular here, I will definitely join. Thanks for inviting me. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Thank you very much for the “like” on my blog! I just viewed your blog and love your photos!
p.s. You shouldn’t call yourself an amateur photographer, you are very good at it.

  5. Hello,

I have been enjoying your photos and I must say that I am impressed. The images are such an art!
Thank you for spreading the joy and sending the marvels to our heart. Have a great day!:-)

    • Thanks a lot Shirsha for choosing me for this award. It is inspiring for me too! Do you mind if I do not accept this award at the moment? First of all I feel that I am too new to this blogging world. Apart from that due to work pressure and travelling, I am not very regular in posting as well as visiting other blogs.I really miss that. I think it will be injustice to other bloggers if I accept it. Once again thanks! Thanks a lot! Wonderful boost for my efforts no doubt about it ๐Ÿ™‚ !

    • Thanks for giving me an award. I am grateful to you. It is very inspiring to receive it. But ,if you do not mind,I would not like to accept it as I think first of all I do not deserve it,secondly I am not very regular with my updates or in commenting or going through other blogs, thanks to my work commitment. Once again I am sincerely grateful to you for considering me for this honour.

    • Thanks for your appreciation! Frankly sometimes when I see highly edited but beautiful images,I do get tempted, but somehow at the end I avoid it. Good that I have never learned Photoshop! Though I love adding textures which I have been doing recently. I call them my painted photographs.

    • Nice to meet you too! I have found so many wonderful co-passengers in my short journey through world of blogging. I love to meet new people. So happy to make one more friend.

  6. I nominated your blog for The Beautiful Blogger award! Please take a look at http://www.peacewithmylife.com and respond in accordance with the award rules. You need to list 10 facts about yourself and โ€œnominateโ€ another 15-20 blogs. It is a great way for the blogging community to get to know each other and for me to say how much I enjoy your blog!

    • Thank you so much for nominating me for this award. I highly appreciate it. Inspiring though it is,I am unable to accept it,due to time constraint.I have not been visiting other blogs as regularly as I would like to,so would not like to do injustice to anyone. Once again thanks a lot.

  7. Thanks for dropping by and following my blog. You have some beautiful photos hereโ€”I especially like the abstracts. I’m looking forward to exploring more!

    • Thank you soo much Livia for nominatng me for this award. I am really sorry about my inability to accept this award,as I am not so regular in blogging and visiting my fellow blogger’s lovely blogs. So I may do injustice. Due to work pressure,I am likely to be even more irregular for next few months. Once again heartfelt thanks to you. I admire your photography greatly,so it is doubly inspirational to be nominated by you.

      • Don’t worry about it ๐Ÿ™‚ I understand that you are a busy person and lack of time is a very common problem for all of us.I nominated you because I really like the way you see things and capture them in your photographs.I am deeply honored by your words and also happy that there are people that enjoy my photographs.Have a great day!

      • Thank you so much for understanding. One day, I hope to devote more time to my passion!! Looking forward to more of your wonderful photographs ๐Ÿ™‚ !

    • Thanks so much for nominating me for the award. Unfortunately,I am not in a position to accept it,as I am very irregular in uploading or visiting other blogs. So it won’t be proper on my part to accept it. Thanks a lot for considering me. Thank you so much.
